The Problem We Couldn't Ignore
Texas deregulated its electricity market with a powerful promise: competition between suppliers would drive prices down and give consumers real choice. That promise is real — but only if you know how to navigate it. Most people don't. And the industry knows it.
After two decades working inside the energy industry, our founder watched the same pattern repeat itself thousands of times. A business owner signs a contract, the rate looks reasonable, and then they forget about it. The contract quietly expires. The account auto-renews at a default rate that can be two or three times what they should be paying. Nobody calls them. Nobody warns them.
Homeowners face the same trap. The plans are intentionally complex — buried usage tiers, misleading "average bill" calculations, free nights that carry hidden costs during daytime peak hours. Most people pick a plan once, set it, and never revisit it again. The suppliers are counting on exactly that.

Who We Are
Deer Hollow Energy is a Houston-based energy consulting and brokerage firm, licensed by the Public Utility Commission of Texas. We work with two types of clients: businesses that need expert procurement and contract management across their operations, and homeowners who want to be a subscription to keep them on the best year-after-year plan.
We are small, by design. We don't sell broker franchises. We don't run nationwide call centers. When you work with us, you're getting direct access to experienced energy professionals not an automated platform or some glossy script-reading front-end staff.
As a broker, we're embedded in the retail side ecosystem — but allied directly with you. We only get paid when we find you a genuinely good deal. If we can't beat what you're already getting, we'll tell you that.
